| Having been away for several years--years that have seen great upheaval in our world--Ireland's mighty Primordial have only become more potent in their lyrical call-to-arms and their musical whirlwinds. The years since their last release have not really changed the band. They appear only more focused and tightened at what they do best. 'The Gathering Wilderness' was mixed and engineered by Billy Anderson (Melvins, Neurosis, Brutal Truth), giving the urgent hailstorm of Primordial a particularly raw edge. |
