| A full-length debut following an impressive EP, this new record is by far the best thing Caliban has ever accomplished. Forty-two minutes of energetic, intricate, and fast metallic hardcore. Caliban captures a uniquely eerie guitar sound, sick, high-pitched screams with the occasional singing effort, and almost 'machine-like' percussion. Comparisons are sort of hard to come by for this German band but think of a combination of Morning Again, a touch of old Abnegation, and the singing/melodic aspects of Sky Came Falling. |
