It would not be too hard to make out what EPOCH OF UNLIGHT have achieved with their sophomore release, "Caught In The Unlight!" In one basic term, this is a classic in every (un)imaginable way. Conceptually EPOCH OF UNLIGHT seeped their lyrics in dark fantasy and horror, where each song paints a distinct nightmarish picture of a portal, the Unlight, that transcends through time and parallel universes. Musically, the band plays fast -- adrenaline is at the highest levels --, brutal and with extreme precision; in fact, this album delivers oscar winning performances! The sound is organic and being produced by Keith Falgout (Soilent Green Cephalic Carnage, Crowbar, Crucible, etc…) it brings forth the multi-nature of the songwriting. Yet, there is a cohesive balance whereas melody and heaviness complement each other resulting into a startling amazement, song after song! Are you caught in the unlight yet? Let there be darkness ...
