| Jazzkammer, or Jazkamer as they call themselves now, are the Norwegian king of noise, LASSE MARHAUG & JOHN HEGRE (of KAPTEIN KALIBER among others). During their 8 year existence they has explored different kinds of sound expressions & cooperated with different musicians, but the core has always been Marhaug and Hegre. In typical Jazzkammer manner their new album is a metal album! And they insisted on calling themselves Jazkamer, & to be on their own label called Smalltown Supernoise. They have made the album that Lou Reed did not make, taking Reed at his word & made metal machine music in the right meaning of the words. Jazkamer is part of the tradition of bands like Animal Collective, Wolf Eyes, Boredoms, Black Dice, Sunno))), Earth, and Lightning Bolt. Bands that mix the avantgarde with noise, kraut, metal & punk, creating new music with an unpretentious DIY aesthetic. Joined on this album by Jørgen "SIR DUPERMANN" Træen of TOY, Ivar Bjørnson of Norwegian black metal legends ENSLAVED & Iver Sandøy and Olav Kristiseter both of metalband MANNGARD.
