This man needs no introduction, but here's one anyway: known to metal fans for his playing on Cynic's 'Focus' album, and well-known in prog and fusion circles for his own Gordian Knot project, Sean Malone is one of the progressive rock/metal world's premier bass/stick players. 'Cortlandt' was originally released in 1996 and has been out of print for years. This reissue comes in a digipak and features bonus track "Unquity Road", previously only available on the Japanese edition of Gordian Knot's first album. 'Cortlandt' can be seen (or rather, heard) as the direct precursor to the sound that Gordian Knot would forge on its two albums.
