QUEENSRYCHE - Dedicated To Chaos (Sp Ed) Dedicated to Chaos is the sound of Queensrÿche marching forward artistically, philosophically and sonically. Their commitment to their craft is unwavering. Their ability to challenge themselves and create new soundscapes is unparalleled in hard rock. In an era when bands will sacrifice audio quality to crank out records, Dedicated to Chaos is a true "headphones record." Features the single "Get Started."

Sorry to add to previous bad reviews. But this is the worst album of Queensryche period ! I'm sorry like many others to waste my money on such a POP act ! Bring back Degarmo and start a Revolution.

Simply The Absolute Worst!!!
Just when you can't believe a band could get any lower they surprise you again. From jugglers, mimes, and strippers on stage to this. I honestly don't know which is worst. I've been a QR fan for 25yrs . No longer, it's honestly just sad!

Very Disapointing
Certainly by far the worst QR release to date. It is an experimental pop album with no direction. The great musicianship of this band is hidden in the mix and never allowed to show through. Very talented group of guys but very very poorly written songs. They claim to be forging new ground but you can here this style of music and lyrics all day on any pop radio station. Something very wrong has happened to this band. The days of thought provoking lyrics and melodic harmonizing instrumentation combined with vocals seems to be a thing of the past. It takes a lot of hard work, passion, and conviction to create the masterpieces of Promised Land and before. It leads on to think they've become lazy, uninspired, and lost without Chris (yes the white elephant in the room). The only real driver here is what little cash they may get from their new release. I'm extremely disappointed with Rockenfields jump on the Tate bandwagon and wanting to take some credit for this album. Why? You don't hear much from the other two members of QR and probably for good reason. There is some interviews out there where Wilton states he had nothing to do with this album and just filled in his parts after the fact. Just all around sad for a band I've followed practically my entire life. I'll continue to hold out at least until their next release. Hopefully they will realize that if they want their fan bass they need to do some serious work. Change is good. But bad music is just that regardless if it's so different than anything they previously released.

Sad.
I am sad for me, and for certain members of this "band." I know Whip is not at fault for this mess of an album. He has probably given up changing Tates mind and direction, and is just along for the ride. Whip's solo efforts are exceptional, and I can see him focusing on those more in the future. I know Scott likes to be experimental, and that is OK, I don't mind a few experimental tracks here and there. The problem here is the whole album is experimental, and not done very well. I am a huge fan, and could tolerate a release that is different (as the band has done that well before) but this just is not good music. I have listened to it about four times now, two times with headphones. The phones do add quite a lot of depth. It has grown on me slightly, but not enough to merit another go around. I just can't see myself selecting this album for another listen. Probably just to let friends hear it to shown them how horrible it is. Geoff - just release another solo album if you want to go in this direction. Whip - hang in there. I don't blame you. I will be looking forward to more of your solo work.I will be going to see Queensryche in Cleveland this summer. I have always been impressed with the band live (minus Cabaret). If Tate screws up this tour then I will probably cross this band off of my list and just continue playing older releases in my playlist.Hard to write this, I don't mind new directions in music if done well, but this is not done well at all.The deliberate misspellings on some tracks is icing on the cake. Very third grade. Come on Geoff.

Worst. Albuim. Ever.
Nothing can save this band now. The decline from headliners with tens of thousands at sold out stadiums and arenas to half-filled Indian casinos and squash festivals with their last 200 fanclub members is complete, This CD adds the exclamation mark to a ten year decline and yet another failure in the "artistry" of Queensryche, who has forgotten their original fanbase, forgoing quality rock for love songs to an egomaniacal has-been's tarty wife. After transforming the many talents of the musicians into lounge quality studio musicians, the singer should consider an elective larengectomy and put us all out of our misery. A bigger waste of plastic and foil has never been heard. Too bad that 1/2 star is a minimum, I'd like a refund on the 1/2 star I had to give in order to review this.
