Reviews

The greatest band. Ever.

Don't listen to J Cunt. Anyone that gives Opeth a 1-star rating is clearly a retarded person. This is a fantastic set and DEFINITELY worth the money. Especially at only $13.99 (?!). I don't know why it's so cheap right now, but don't waste any time in picking it up at that price. I paid $26 when it had just come out and I felt like it was a steal at that price. I attended one of the Evolution XX shows and out of the hundreds of concerts I've been to, it was far and away one of the greatest experiences of my life. I have never been less than impressed by anything Opeth. They have such a unique style and tone and to say they're anything but one of the greatest bands of all time is simply an insult. I maintain the (true) belief that they are the greatest band in the world and their life show is a testament to that. It doesn't get much better than the tour documented on these discs. Although it may not have been the most flawless show they've ever played, there were some technical difficulties, it is still very remarkable. And that setlist, my god that setlist. If you're a new fan of the band, or an old-school fan of the band, this set is a must have. The bonus features are very worth while, although I was disappointed that only half of the shows were featured on the tour documentary, my show was NOT unfortunately. But it's still a fun and insightful documentary nonetheless. It's great to have this epic concert captured on video and be able to enjoy it over and over again. So if you are an Opeth fan, don't hesitate to buy any Opeth release, let alone this one.
