Reviews

Plenty of chops but lacks the killer emotion

DT have come a long way since this old bastard bought When Dream

Great Album

Stellar production. Great album. Many different moods and landscapes. Thoroughly enjoyed. Heavily replayed. Art.

One of their best albums in years

I love this album. Definitely my favorite since Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. A Nightmare to Remember and The Count of Tuscany are now two of my favorite DT songs.

Awesome!

Brilliant, powerful, epic... The Count of Tuscany my new favorite song. A Nightmare to Remember precious and what a great song with The Shattered Fortress!A great album

Good....ish

It's got some great songs and some weak songs. Just the normal edition is all you need... the covers are a bit tedious and the instrumental are unneeded.

IMO one of their best

I'm not saying this just to disagree with the other guy, but i have all of DT's albums and i think some of their best songwriting is on this album. There are only six songs on this album but 4 of them are over 10 minutes long :) A Nightmare To Remember is probably my favorite song by them. The only weak track on this album is The Best of Times, which even though its a nice tribute to MP's dad, isn't a great song. The Count of Tuscany is an epic closer. Great album overall.

Good record

I find the first and last songs of this album one of the better DT songs. I'm more a fan of Train of Thought and Scenes than the previous softer works and I guess BC

Almost as bad as octavarium

One of their worst albums to date: cheesy, poorly thought out, songs don't work together or even with themselves. Yeah it has 2 or 3 good songs some tasty covers but 45 minutes of it is shocking.
